The city government of Muntinlupa City has turned over eight electric vehicles to its local police force as part of efforts to promote sustainable and fuel-efficient government operations.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon said the procurement was initiated before global fuel price spikes but has become more relevant amid rising fuel costs.
The vehicles were officially received by the Muntinlupa City Police under Chief Robert Domingo and are equipped with patrol-ready features, including safety markings and communication systems.
A charging station has also been installed at the police headquarters to support the continuous deployment of the electric patrol units.
The initiative is part of the city’s broader push toward greener and more sustainable public service operations.
