Michelle Dee, who recently represented the Philippines in Miss Universe 2023, has been appointed as the country’s tourism ambassador by the Department of Tourism (DOT).
Dee expressed her gratitude for the honorary title, describing it as a “full circle moment.” In addition to the ambassadorship, she will also be part of the DOT’s Philippine Experience Program (PEP), which focuses on promoting the country’s heritage, arts, and culture through regional caravans.
Dee made a mark during the Miss Universe pageant with her stunning evening gowns and unique costume inspired by airplanes. She received several awards, including Best in National Costume, Fan Vote winner, Spirit of Carnival award and the “Voice for Change” gold honoree.
