Mayor Albee Benitez announced on Friday that cash rewards will be offered to credible informers of unsolved crimes in Bacolod City.
This initiative, proposed by newly appointed police chief Col. Joeresty Coronica, aims to enhance crime-solving efforts.
The specific reward amounts will be disclosed after Benitez meets with Coronica in the coming days. Coronica, who has prioritized tackling murders, illegal drugs, and vandalism, plans to thoroughly review recent crime cases before implementing solutions.
He emphasized his commitment to improving city security and intends to assess police performance and adjust strategies as needed.
