President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced a bigger fuel price rollback next week, saying it will provide greater relief to consumers compared to the previous week’s reduction.
He said diesel prices may drop by about ₱24.94 per liter, gasoline by ₱3.41, and kerosene by ₱2, and directed oil companies to fully and promptly implement the rollback.
The President also warned that government agencies, including the Department of Energy, are ready to act on complaints and violations.
He said the price cuts should translate into real savings for Filipinos and called on companies to ensure transparency and fairness.
Marcos added that existing fuel subsidies and transport aid programs, as well as a three-month extension of expiring licenses and vehicle registrations, will continue as part of government relief measures.
