A P10 million reward has been offered for the arrest of fugitive evangelist Apollo Quiboloy, wanted for child abuse and human trafficking, Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos announced on Monday.
A P1 million bounty is also offered for Quiboloy’s co-accused: Crisente, Paulene, and Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Cemañes, and Jackielyn Roy.
Abalos mentioned that the rewards were raised by unnamed private individuals frustrated by Quiboloy’s evasion of arrest.
On June 10, police raided the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City, but Quiboloy and his co-accused were not found.
The PNP is gathering witnesses to charge those hiding Quiboloy with obstruction of justice, noting that former president Rodrigo Duterte may bear some liability after stating he knows Quiboloy’s whereabouts.
