Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano revealed painful childhood experiences of abuse and strained family relationships during an interview on the “Can I Come In?” series.
She recounted being kidnapped as a toddler by her mother’s boyfriend, suffering physical abuse, and enduring neglect while in foster care.
Despite these hardships, Liza was later adopted by her paternal grandparents but faced further challenges when sent to live with her estranged father in the Philippines.
She spoke candidly about her struggles with self-worth and the impact of her difficult past on her emotional well-being.
Liza also confirmed her breakup with longtime partner Enrique Gil and symbolically cut ties with toxic figures from her past during the interview.
