Live Nation Entertainment has signed a deal to acquire Paris La Defense Arena, Europe’s largest indoor venue with a 40,000-seat capacity, famous for hosting Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour and major artists like the Rolling Stones, Kendrick Lamar, and Dua Lipa. Built in 2017 and previously owned by French businessman Jacky Lorenzetti, the arena also hosted swimming and water polo events during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Live Nation plans upgrades to increase year-round production and further cement Paris as a global live entertainment hub. The multipurpose venue can accommodate both entertainment and sporting events, enhancing its flexibility for concerts, shows, and competitions. Lorenzetti described the sale as the start of a “new chapter” for the arena after a decade of success.
