Before the 19th Congress adjourns, the government is pushing for the passage of key priority bills focused on connectivity, healthcare, and investment.
The Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) said these measures were discussed during the May 29 LEDAC meeting and are set for bicameral deliberations.
Among the bills being prioritized are amendments to the Universal Health Care Act, the Foreign Investors’ Long-Term Lease Act, and the E-Governance Act.
Other proposals, such as the National Government Rightsizing Program and Right-of-Way Act amendments, are also being fast-tracked to streamline government functions and boost infrastructure development.
House leaders report significant progress in their legislative agenda, with 27 out of 28 LEDAC-endorsed measures already passed, as Congress prepares to reconvene from June 2 to 13 for its final session.
