LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER TO VOTE – COMELEC WARNS

Today marks the final day for voter registration for the May 2025 elections, as announced by Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia.

He urged both local and overseas Filipinos to ensure their registration, emphasizing that there will be no extension beyond September 30 due to necessary evaluations by the Election Registration Board.

Since resuming voter registration on February 12, Comelec has processed over 6.4 million applications, including approximately 1.18 million from overseas Filipinos.

As the deadline approaches, Comelec anticipates a surge in applicants and has prepared additional support teams for the last-minute rush.

To accommodate those still in line after 3 p.m., election assistants will record their names for processing, but any applicant not present when their name is called will be disqualified from registering.
