Filipino singer Sophia Laforteza of global girl group Katseye opened up about her experience living with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in a recent Weverse video.
She confirmed she was diagnosed a couple of years ago and described symptoms such as internal restlessness, difficulty focusing, memory issues, and frequent mental distractions.
Laforteza said ADHD can also lead to hyperfocus at times, especially in performance-related tasks like choreography, where muscle memory takes over.
She shared that accepting her diagnosis helped her understand that the condition is chemical and not related to laziness or lack of motivation.
The singer encouraged others with similar symptoms to seek professional help and learn more about the disorder.
