INTERPOL ISSUES RED NOTICES VS. ATONG ANG, BANTAG, DUMLAO — DILG

The International Criminal Police Organization has issued Red Notices against businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang, former Bureau of Corrections chief Gerald Bantag, and former police officer Rafael Dumlao III, the Department of the Interior and Local Government said, as authorities continue an intensified nationwide manhunt.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the suspects remain at large despite extensive operations, noting that the Philippines’ geography and the fugitives’ resources have made tracking them more difficult.

Remulla added that the Red Notices request global law enforcement agencies to locate and provisionally arrest the three fugitives for possible extradition.

Ang is linked to the disappearance of several cockfighting enthusiasts, Bantag is accused in the killing of broadcaster Percy Lapid and an inmate, while Dumlao has been convicted in the 2016 kidnapping-slay of South Korean businessman Jee Ick-joo.

Authorities said all three are believed to be in hiding, with rewards previously offered for information leading to their arrest.
