The groundbreaking ceremony for the remaining Areas 3 and 4 of the Roxas Boulevard Promenade in Pasay City took place on Thursday as part of the city’s “Adopt-a-Park” initiative, facilitated by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
Spanning approximately 1.7 hectares between the Libertad Pumping Station and the Edsa-Roxas Boulevard intersection, the promenade includes zones for satellite offices, a light park, active park areas, and parking/play facilities.
Key officials present included MMDA acting chairman Don Artes, DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, DHSUD Secretary Jose Acuzar, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, and Federal Land Inc. Chairman Alfred Ty.
The project aims to revitalize the area, promoting urban livability through collaborative efforts between government and private sectors while emphasizing the creation of inclusive and vibrant public spaces.
