FREEZE ORDERS COVER FIRMS, LAWMAKERS, ERIC YAP, AND EDVIC YAP IN FLOOD CONTROL CONTROVERSY

President Marcos announced that freeze orders have been issued on the accounts and properties of firms and individuals linked to the multibillion-peso flood control scandal, including Silverwolves Construction, Sky Yard Aviation, and lawmakers Eric and Edvic Yap.

The Court of Appeals froze 280 bank accounts, 22 insurance policies, three securities accounts, and eight air assets to prevent the disposal of suspected ill-gotten assets.

Marcos emphasized that the government is committed to recovering stolen funds and noted that eight DPWH personnel from Davao Occidental have voluntarily offered to surrender.

He also confirmed that the arrest warrant for contractor Sarah Discaya is expected soon.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Ombudsman is preparing to file additional criminal charges before the Sandiganbayan, ensuring the cases are airtight for accountability.
