The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) announced a special service campaign by Toyota Motor Philippines and Lexus Manila to fix potential parking assist issues in several vehicle models.
The problem involves the electronic control unit (ECU) malfunctioning, which can cause the panoramic view monitor to freeze or fail, increasing the risk of accidents while reversing.
Affected vehicle owners are advised to schedule a free ECU reprogramming at authorized Toyota or Lexus dealerships, which can also be done during regular maintenance.
The campaign covers multiple Toyota models, including Alphard, Camry, Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado, and RAV4, as well as Lexus models such as ES, GX, LC, LM, LS, LX, NX, RX, and RZ within specific production dates.
Owners can verify if their cars are affected via the Toyota and Lexus websites or contact DTI through social media for assistance.
