FORMER POLICE OFFICIAL GARMA ADMITS DIRECT LINE TO DUTERTE THROUGH BONG GO

Former police Colonel Royina Garma admitted during a quad-committee hearing that she could directly visit former President Rodrigo Duterte via Senator Bong Go, who was then Duterte’s special assistant.

The hearing, which involved discussions on the closest Philippine National Police (PNP) officials to Duterte, revealed that Garma had previously denied close ties to the former president.

However, she acknowledged that she had access to Malacañang through Go, contradicting earlier denials.

The committee also cited Garma for contempt after she was found to be evasive and inconsistent in her responses regarding her connections to Duterte and her role in the killing of three Chinese nationals at the Davao Prison.

Garma’s position and influence during Duterte’s presidency were scrutinized, with accusations that she had significant access and special connections.
