First Lady Liza Marcos expressed admiration for the Philippine National Police’s quick five-minute crime response after witnessing the system firsthand at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
During her visit, she tested the emergency response by calling the 911 hotline to locate Ilocos Norte Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos.
The police successfully found the governor in under two minutes, impressing the First Lady.
Accompanied by officials from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and the Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime, Marcos praised the PNP’s dedication and efficiency.
She highlighted how the 911 system brings police services directly to citizens through their phones, enhancing public safety and support.
