Filipino-American muay thai fighter Eddie Abasolo, also known as “Silky Smooth,” has expressed his desire to compete in the Philippines.
Abasolo, who has embraced his Filipino heritage, hopes to showcase his skills and make his community proud.
He will be facing American fighter Luke Lessei in a featherweight muay thai bout at ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs. Lobo in Bangkok, Thailand on February 17.
Abasolo sees this as an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of American muay thai and hopes to compete in the Philippines later this year.
He has never been to the Philippines before and considers it one of the top three items on his bucket list. For now, Abasolo’s focus is on his upcoming fight, where he plans to deliver an electrifying performance.
