EX-PNP HEAD REPORTEDLY PAID BY ALICE GUO

A former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief is alleged to have been on the payroll of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, according to Raul Villanueva, a Pagcor official, during a Senate inquiry into illegal Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs).

Villanueva testified that intelligence rumors suggested the ex-PNP chief helped Guo flee the country in July, although he could not confirm the identity of the individual.

The Senate hearing also revealed that Guo signed her affidavit before fleeing and that her lawyers were aware of her plans to escape.

Guo, along with her siblings and business associate Cassandra Ong, who were arrested in Indonesia, has been involved in multiple investigations related to human trafficking and illegal gaming.

Senators, including Sherwin Gatchalian and Ronald de la Rosa, expressed concerns about the money trail and potential corruption, urging further investigation into how illicit funds were being transferred into the country.
