Former NBA champion Rajon Rondo has been arrested on gun and drug charges in Indiana.
The 37-year-old former guard, who won NBA titles with the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, was pulled over in Jackson County on Sunday for a traffic violation.
After the officer smelled marijuana, a search was conducted, resulting in the discovery of a firearm and drug paraphernalia. Rondo is not legally allowed to possess a firearm due to a no-contact order.
The charges against him include unlawful possession of a firearm, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana, all of which are misdemeanors.
This arrest follows a previous incident in 2022 when a woman filed an emergency protective order against Rondo, claiming he had threatened her with a gun.
