DOJ INVESTIGATES DRUG WAR; DELA ROSA VOWS COOPERATION

Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has expressed willingness to cooperate with the Department of Justice (DOJ) as it investigates allegations of crimes against humanity linked to the Duterte administration’s war on drugs.

Dela Rosa, who spearheaded the anti-drug campaign as police chief, said he supports efforts to uphold the rule of law and ensure accountability.

The DOJ’s inquiry aligns with its commitment to addressing international concerns raised about human rights violations.

The senator maintained that the drug war was implemented with the country’s best interests in mind but welcomed the probe to clarify issues.

This comes as calls for greater transparency and accountability continue to mount domestically and internationally.
