The Department of Justice (DOJ) has dismissed the charges filed by former President Rodrigo Duterte against Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Marbil related to the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
The complaints, which included malicious mischief and violation of domicile for alleged damage during the raid on the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound, were dismissed for lack of probable cause.
The resolution emphasized that there was insufficient evidence to prove individual culpability or intentional wrongdoing by Abalos, Marbil, or other officials involved.
Some respondents were not even present at the site during the operation.
The DOJ ruled that their actions were lawful and protected as part of their official duties.
