Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has requested the Department of Justice to issue immigration lookout bulletins (ILBOs) for his predecessor, Manuel Bonoan, Bonoan’s daughter, Fatima Gay dela Cruz, Candaba Mayor Rene Maglanque, and his daughter, Macy Monique, as well as Sunshine Bernardo, corporate secretary of MBB Global Properties Corp.
The request, made in a letter to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, complied with President Marcos’ directive amid ongoing investigations into flood control project anomalies.
Senator Panfilo Lacson revealed alleged links between Bonoan, Maglanque, and former DPWH undersecretary Roberto Bernardo as business partners in MBB Global Properties Corp, which is implicated in the probe.
Dizon emphasized that the ILBOs are essential to prevent the suspects from leaving the country during the investigation and to ensure accountability.
He also asked the Bureau of Immigration to alert DPWH and law enforcement about any impending travel plans by the individuals named.
