DEPED ROLLS OUT SUMMER PROGRAMS TO BRIDGE LEARNING GAPS

The Department of Education (DepEd) launched its 2025 Summer Programs on Thursday to address learning gaps in basic education.

The initiatives include the Bawat Bata Makababasa Program, Literacy Remediation Program, Summer Academic Remedial Program, Regional Remediation Program, and the 2025 Learning Camp, all aimed at supporting students’ academic recovery.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized that the programs are designed to help learners improve their reading and math skills through interactive tutorials and targeted activities.

Teachers involved in these programs will receive vacation service credits and professional recognition for their dedication.

The programs will be implemented in selected areas, including regions affected by the Mt. Kanlaon unrest and Zamboanga Peninsula, and will focus on supporting students from Grades 1 to 12 who need additional help.
