The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the guidelines for the ₱7,000 annual medical allowance for government employees, effective in 2025.
This initiative aims to support the health and well-being of public servants by subsidizing Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) benefits or similar health plans.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman confirmed the approval of Budget Circular 2024-6, which outlines the rules and regulations for the medical allowance.
The program is part of the government’s efforts to enhance the welfare of its workforce. Further details on the implementation and eligibility criteria are expected to be released by the DBM.
