David Licauco expressed deep respect for journalists, highlighting the dangers and sacrifices of their work, during an interview on GMA Network’s 24 Oras while discussing his role as investigative reporter Andrew Dizon in the upcoming series Never Say Die.
Licauco compared his character’s challenges in exposing wrongdoing to the real-life risks journalists face, noting the personal sacrifices involved in reporting for the public good.
Co-star Jillian Ward, who plays vlogger Joey Delgado, said her character fights for truth and justice despite being underestimated, reflecting the determination of young Filipinos to confront societal issues.
The series follows Joey and Andrew as they uncover corruption and dark family secrets, supported by an ensemble cast including Richard Yap, Kim Ji Soo, and Angelu de Leon.
Never Say Die, directed by Dominic Zapata and Richard Arellano, premieres on February 2, 2026, at 8:55 p.m. on GMA Prime and Kapuso Stream, with a delayed telecast on GTV.
