DAR DISTRIBUTES OVER 6,000 E-TITLES TO AGRARIAN REFORM BENEFICIARIES

A total of 5,837 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Western Visayas received individual electronic land titles (e-titles) on Jan. 12, granting them full ownership and control of their farm lots under the DAR’s Support to Parcelization of Land for Individual Titling Project.

The distribution, led by DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III at Pototan Coliseum, covered farmers from Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo, converting previously collective lands into individually titled properties.

In total, 6,472 e-titles covering over 13,500 hectares were distributed, resulting in the condonation of P87.5 million in agrarian debt.

Estrella said the move empowers farmers to actively manage their lands and advance rural development while strengthening protection of their property and tenurial rights.

Certificates of condonation and mortgage releases were also issued, further securing the rights and financial relief of beneficiaries.
