The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), with support from the World Bank, plans to distribute 396,430 electronic land titles (e-titles) across 400,000 hectares to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) by 2025. This initiative, under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project, aims to provide ARBs with legal land ownership and better access to government services. As of December 2024, DAR has made significant progress, validating and redocumenting over 1.3 million hectares and distributing 174,111 hectares. The World Bank has extended its financial support for SPLIT, ensuring continued funding and technical assistance until 2027. The project is expected to boost agricultural productivity and improve farmers’ access to credit and government programs.
