The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has suspended the proclamation of Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon (BH) party-list groups despite their winning bids, citing pending legal complaints.
While 52 party lists and 59 representatives were officially proclaimed, the Comelec said serious allegations against the two groups warranted a pause in confirmation.
Duterte Youth is entitled to three seats and BH to one, but the commission emphasized they remain winners unless disqualified.
BH slammed the suspension as unfair, claiming no prior notice or opportunity to respond to any complaint.
Comelec aims to resolve the issues before all elected officials assume office on June 30 to avoid later disqualification.
