Colonel Arnel Banzon has officially taken over as the new chief of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), replacing Colonel Lorenzo Batuan in a ceremony held at Camp Francisco Dagohoy.
The event was presided over by Brigadier General Anthony Aberin of Police Regional Office 7 and attended by key officials, including Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado.
Banzon, a native of Bohol and a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1996, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him.
He pledged to continue Batuan’s Project Libreng Alagad ug Balay (LAB), which provides homes for underprivileged families in Bohol.
Banzon aims to meet the challenges of leading the police force in one of the country’s top tourist destinations.
