Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada has filed charges against three men who attacked his son, Julian, and nephew, Jefferelly Vitug, in Boracay.
The assault happened early Saturday near Summer Place in Barangay Balabag while the victims were walking home from a bar.
Julian suffered a head injury and a chipped toenail, while Jefferelly sustained a nose injury.
Estrada expressed hope that authorities will conduct a thorough investigation and ensure justice is served.
He also called for efforts to create a safer environment for all following the violent incident.
