BUKIDNON CONFERENCE FOCUSES ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S EDUCATION, SAYS CHED

The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) held the First Philippine Education Conference on Indigenous Peoples at Bukidnon State University, aiming to promote inclusivity and sustainability for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in higher education. 

CHEd Commissioner Ronald Adamat emphasized the importance of integrating Indigenous knowledge systems into national identity and cultural heritage. 

The conference included discussions on facilitating intercultural dialogue, providing culturally relevant learning materials, and offering financial assistance to IP students. 

Speakers highlighted the role of higher education in preserving cultural heritage and promoting innovative leadership. 

The event also featured cultural shows and awards for institutions promoting IP education.
