BOHOL GOV PLEDGES ₱300K REWARD IN PROBE OF FISHERMEN’S DEATHS

Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has offered a ₱300,000 reward for any information on the fatal collision that killed two fishermen in Bien Unido town on May 2.

The victims, Rene Awas Reyes and Bjay Manayon from Malingin Island, died after their motor banca collided with another vessel at around 5 a.m.

Reyes was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival, while Manayon died on the spot.

The Bohol Police Provincial Office is currently investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, the President Garcia Police Station denied any involvement, stating that no sea patrols were conducted by them or the Philippine Coast Guard at the time.
