Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, and Presidential Legislative Liaison Office chief Adrian Bersamin have resigned amid allegations linking their offices to corruption in flood control projects.
President Marcos accepted their resignations, with Palace officials emphasizing that the move was out of delicadeza and to allow an impartial investigation.
Finance Secretary Ralph Recto has been appointed the new executive secretary, while Budget Undersecretary Rolando Toledo and SAP Frederick Go take over DBM and DOF leadership roles, respectively.
Malacañang clarified that the resignations will not exempt the former officials from the ongoing probe, which was prompted in part by claims made by ex-lawmaker Zaldy Co.
The Palace said the leadership changes underscore Marcos’ commitment to institutional reform and good governance.
