Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced plans to enroll all city residents in PhilHealth’s Konsulta package to provide free check-ups and make healthcare more affordable.
The Konsulta package offers outpatient benefits, including consultations, health screenings, diagnostic tests, and selected medicines at PhilHealth-accredited facilities.
Belmonte also revealed plans to build a new hospital and expand the Quezon City General Hospital by adding another building and upgrading healthcare facilities to meet PhilHealth accreditation standards.
These initiatives aim to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for Quezon City residents.
Aside from healthcare, Belmonte’s priorities for her last term include adding more green spaces, expanding social welfare and scholarship programs, and creating more job opportunities.
