The House prosecution team in Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial will first present officials from the Land Registration Authority and Anti-Money Laundering Council before former senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV takes the witness stand.
Prosecutor Terry Ridon said the team plans to prioritize documentary evidence, including land records and AMLC financial records, while the sequence of witnesses may still change during the proceedings.
Trillanes is expected to testify on financial transactions he previously presented to the House Committee on Justice, including records he said involved accounts linked to Duterte and her family.
The AMLC has previously reported about ₱6.77 billion in aggregate transactions linked to Duterte and her husband, Manases Carpio, including transactions classified as covered or suspicious, although the aggregate figure does not by itself represent their net worth.
The prosecution is also preparing bank records from around 10 financial institutions, with individual bank representatives potentially being called to authenticate the documents if the defense does not agree to stipulate on their authenticity.
