Vanie Gandler led the team with 16 points, supported by Angel Canino’s 11 points.
The Philippines built momentum early in the first set and steadily increased their lead, closing out the match with strong performances from several players, including Eya Laure and Bella Belen.
Mongolia’s top scorers were Ganbaatar Saruulgerel with 13 points and Ganbold Enkhnaran with 10.
Alas, Pilipinas will face Indonesia next in the tournament.
