Globe Telecom Inc. is expanding its sustainability efforts by transitioning its Globe Prepaid and TM SIM cards from virgin plastics to 100% recycled materials.
This move follows the company’s 2022 launch of recycled SIMs for postpaid users and now extends to about 96% of its mobile customer base.
Globe emphasized that this initiative is part of its broader commitment to environmental responsibility and invites customers to join in making greener choices.
The ecoSIMs, designed to appeal to environmentally conscious users like Gen Z, will soon be available nationwide.
Beyond SIM cards, Globe is also implementing green initiatives such as renewable energy use, electric vehicles, and climate-focused network solutions.
