Around 1,000 delegates, including 300 competitors from 11 ASEAN member states, are set to participate in the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025, which will be hosted from August 26 to 28 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. 
The biennial competition showcases the talents of Southeast Asian youth in various technical and vocational skills, aiming to raise regional standards and inspire excellence.
This event marks the first time Manila will host WorldSkills in nearly 30 years and highlights the Philippines’ commitment to advancing its technical-vocational education and training (TVET) sector.
Competitors will compete in diverse skill areas, including Cyber Security, Robotics, Mechatronics, Welding, and Culinary Arts, with new categories like Collaborative Robot and Industry 4.0 introduced.
Tesda Director-General Jose Francisco Benitez emphasized that the event celebrates young talent while promoting youth employment, industrial innovation, and regional cooperation.
