UNESCO NATIONAL COMMISSION GETS NEW APPOINTEES FROM THE MARCOS ADMINISTRATION

President Marcos has appointed several Cabinet members and officials to various committees of the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines. 

Education Secretary Sonny Angara, along with other education officials, was designated to the education committee, while National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenio Balisacan and others were assigned to the social and human sciences committee. 

Additionally, the culture committee includes Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco and other cultural leaders, while Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga and Science Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. were appointed to the science and technology committee. 

The appointments reflect the Philippines’ commitment to international cooperation in education, culture, and science under UNESCO’s mandate. 

Other new appointees include officials across various government sectors, enhancing the country’s representation in significant areas.
