‘OPLAN BALIK LINIS GANDA’ RELAUNCHED BY VALENZUELA CITY IN FLOOD-PRONE BARANGAYS

The Valenzuela City government has relaunched its “Oplan Balik Linis Ganda” cleanup campaign to prevent flooding and promote public health during the rainy season.

Mayor Weslie Gatchalian led the relaunch in Barangay Marulas, a community severely affected by recent heavy rains.

This year’s campaign is more comprehensive, involving multiple city departments and including activities like tree trimming, cable fixing, garbage collection, and dengue fogging.

The cleanup effort, coordinated by Task Force Kalinisan and supported by the DOLE TUPAD program, will take place twice a week, focusing on one community at a time.

Additionally, the city announced the construction of a new pumping station in Barangay Marulas as part of its broader flood control plans.
