GINEBRA CRUISES PAST BLACKWATER IN MALONZO’S COMEBACK GAME

Barangay Ginebra secured an 86-63 victory over Blackwater in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup, marking a strong performance in Jamie Malonzo’s return from injury.

The Gin Kings outscored the Bossing 37-23 in the third quarter and led by as many as 25 points, stifling Blackwater’s high-scoring import, George King, who managed just 27 points.

Ginebra’s defense was the standout, limiting Blackwater to a conference-low 63 points after their recent loss to Northport.

Justine Brownlee led Ginebra with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Malonzo contributed eight points in his comeback.

The win improved Ginebra’s record to 6-3, tying them with Converge and Eastern.
