Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI), led by tycoon Andrew Tan, is investing $300 million in a new integrated resort, Boracay World Resorts, set to open by the end of next year.
The project, located in Boracay, will feature a boutique casino designed to complement the island’s aesthetics and sustainability goals.
This development is one of the first major expansions by AGI’s leisure arm, Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., outside Metro Manila.
In addition to Boracay World Resorts, AGI is also investing $400 million in the Mactan World Resorts in Cebu, which will include a hotel, resort, and casino, aiming for a 2026 opening.
The Mactan project is expected to create over 5,000 jobs and will be situated near the Mactan Cebu International Airport.
